Frequently Asked Questions

How do you handle fearful dogs?

By far, we get more fearful dogs that any other problem. Fearful dogs can be a challenge if not handled correctly. Often times people confuse fearful behavior with rebellious defiant behavior.

Fearful dogs are changed by working them through their fear issues. We have to slowly expose them to, and gently work them through their fear issues. Building confidence and introducing structure is the key.

Fearful dogs require a very gentle but consistent hand. As much as we want to feel sorry for them, we just can’t. We have to get them moving and working.
